Mazel Tov to the Survivors of Rabbi Mordecai Tendler

Breaking News: Rabbi Mordechai Tendler has been expelled from the RCA: "engaged in conduct inappropriate for an Orthodox rabbi.”

I wish the RCA did more, but at least this alleged sex offender is no longer a member of the Rabbinical Council of America.

It's really sort of funny that at least one supporter of Tendler is still making attempts to discredit two women who are dedicated victim advocates. If it wasn't for the bravery of Anne Margolis and Leah Marinelli, Tendler would still be a member of the RCA. I wish we could give them an award or something. Just like survivors, they have been harassed and there have been attempts to ruin their careers as midwives.

Who ever started the blog to attack them. Isn't allowing anyone to post comments. So please feel free to post them here. You can view the slanderous blog at: "Truth"

I think both victim advocates and survivors around the globe have got to take a stand and speak out against such nonsense. If this case was held in a secular court, these sorts of actions would be considered criminal. It's called witness tampering.

The comment thread over there attacking the survivors is just despicable.

I read some of those comments, from those disbelieving solely on the MT family history/empire, status, etc., and wonder what century they've been living in!

We can probably all learn from this thread along with the Protocols posts on jh worch from last fall: Prepare for accusations of mental instability, viscious attacks on your character, screeching denials, and sheer insanity.

Another good example of why it's so unlikely false claims are made under these situations: No one in their right mind would want to go through such a thing if it were not true and they did not feel compelled to expose the truth!!!

Might be good topic for discussion.

That 613truth page does not look like slander at all. In fact, the site appears to make no claims whatsoever about Leah and Anne. The site looks more like a brocure for their services than a slander site.

All the site does is identify the same two individuals that are already identified by name in the Jewish Survivors of Sexual Violence blog, and links to the women's professional website.

There might be some veiled malicious intent on the part of the person who made the site, but that does not constitute slander.

you all say rabbi tendler used his "power" and authority to make these women do things they realy did not want to do?
You say these women ware vornable, and he used them?

How about the fact that some of thes women are now saying that they simply vented to lea marinalli (as a friend) some disagreement they have had with him and she ran with that info and used her own friends, smeared their name and made the life a nightmare all to advace her own agenda?
